Next in our list is Amritsar. The city treasured with the famous Golden temple is draped completely with bright lights during Diwali. The planning of the festival starts weeks in advance. Each and every house in the city is decorated with leaves, flowers and other beautiful items, especially with rangolis featuring the house entrance. The locals prepare various sweets and dishes to share them with friends, relatives and neighbours .The city witnesses spectacular lighting up of fireworks in the night sky. The Golden Temple is lit with diyas on Diwali making it an extravagant spectacle for onlookers.
