Kal Penn (Actor): Kal Penn was born as Kalpen Suresh Modi in Montclair, New Jersey. He grew up in a typical Indian family and aspired to be a professional actor in Hollywood. Following his passion, Penn attended Howell High School, for learning fine and performing arts. He further completed his higher learning at Freehold Township High School and later attended the University of California, Los Angeles, to major in sociology and performance.

After attending UCLA, Penn got to work on small roles in films and television initially. It was in the year 2000, where he got the opportunity to play lead roles in films like American Desi, National Lampoon's Van Wilder, Harold and Kumar; all these mentioned movies have acclaimed good critics. He also acted in television shows like House and 24.

Besides, Penn has also served as an Associate Director in the White House Office of Public Engagement. Being a strong Obama supporter since 2007, Penn was provided the opportunity to co-chair the re-election campaign of President Barack Obama.
