Dropbox is a free service that lets people bring their documents, photos and videos everywhere and share them easily. It had refused a buyout from Apple and is most likely to go public in 2012. Dropbox had raised $250 million in funding at a valuation of $ 4 billion, from Index Ventures, Benchmark Capital, Goldman Sachs, Greylock Partners, Institutional Venture Partners, RIT Capital Partners, and Valiant Capital Partners. It also saw the participation of existing investors Sequoia Capital, Accel Partners, and Hadi and Ali Partovi. Founded in 2007 by Drew Hourton and Arash Ferdowsi, the company has over 45 million members, sharing one billion files every three days.
