INK Shortlists 24 Influencers Out Of 700 Applicants


Picture this: a tribe that lives daily with mummified dead bodies! Kelli Swazey from Indonesia, an anthropologist and specialist on South East Asian religions, has investigated how Torajan tribesmen spend their entire lives preparing for their deaths.

In recognition of their path-breaking work, Anand, Snigdha, Elishai and Kellialong with 20 other young individuals from countries such as India, China, Hungary, United States, and Nepal have been selected by INK, a physical and digital platform for sharing innovative ideas, for the Fellows Program 2013.

The Fellows will get an opportunity to share the stage with eminent speakers and showcase their compelling work to a global audience at INK’s flagship annual event, the INK Conference in association with TED, which is to be held in Kochi between25th and 27th October, 2013,as well as at INK Live 2013, alive streaming of the conference for college students and young professionals. INK will also foster their personal and creative development and provide mentorship support, besides helping them gain access to funding and other opportunities.

“We are thrilled to bring on board this immensely talented and multi-faceted group of Fellows for the year 2013. These youngsters have already done such incredible work in their respective fields, and INK will offer them meaningful support to really take things to the next level”, said Lakshmi Pratury – founder, host and curator of INK.

Eminent multi-disciplinary artist Raghava KK, who is serving as Chair of the Fellows Program for the year 2013, added: "It's been so exciting to chair the program this year. I was so overwhelmed by the quality of applicants. Choosing the final group was not at all an easy task."
