India's Top Four IT Firms Record Massive Growth Of $8 Billion


India’s biggest IT exporter posted Q4 revenue of 16,430 crore, up 23.9 percent year-on-year and 2.2 percent quarter-on-quarter. It reported net profit of 3,597 crore for the period, a rise of 22.1 percent over the same quarter last year and 1.3 percent increase over the preceding quarter.

TCS’ closest rival Infosys also saw its cash balance soar from $300 million to a monstrous $4.34 billion at the end of fiscal year 2012-13.

Infosys registered an 18 percent growth in revenue of 10,454 crore for the March quarter compared to the same period last year. The IT firm posted a flat 0.3 percent revenue growth sequentially.

The second-largest IT firm’s net profit rose 3.4 percent to 2,394 crore in March quarter and 1.1 percent sequentially.
