Ab ki baar, Modi sarkar (It’s time for a Modi government): Bhartiya Janta Party’s latest poll campaign in the LS polls 2014 turns out to be a massive hit. "Ab Ki Baar Modi Sarkar" is a slogan that has been doing the rounds for some time now. It is reminiscent of the party’s 1996 slogan “Bari bari sabki bari, abki bari Atal Bihari” which projected party leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee as next Prime Minister.

But as far as Modi is concerned, he feels. "It’s the BJP wave and not the Modi wave. I cannot even compare myself to the greatness of the party. I am just a small part of it," reports DNA.
The new slogan echoes the message of change that Modi has been stressing in all his public addresses. With the slogan already a spectacular hit, the BJP hopes that the Modi factor will help it notch up a simple majority in the 543 member Lok Sabha this time. Political observers say that the slogan is significant as it points to the BJP’s attempts to project the election as a verdict on Modi and the change he is promising.
