India's Honest Bureaucrats Who Raised a Voice against the Corrupt

Ashok Khemka:

Ashok Khemka is popularly known as 'Haryana's most shoved about civil servant' who was the whistle blower on Robert Vadra’s DLF deal. Khemka, a 1991 batch IAS officer in Haryana was the talk of the town when he cancelled the mutation of the controversial 58-crore land deal between UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra and realty giant DLF in Gurgaon district.

Since 2005, the bureaucrat had imposed a strict order for an enquiry into all of Vadra's land deals in four Haryana districts. He went through many ups and downs including warning phone calls soon after he stepped into the Vadra-DLF transaction. Unfortunately, the Khemka family gets no security in spite of threats, and P.K. Chaudhary, the Chief Secretary of Haryana ignored the whole security issue requested by Khemka for his family. Instead, was targeted successively by the Haryana government. Khemka was at least transferred 44th times in his 22-year long career.
