The number of ultra-rich grew by 0.2 percent and its wealth grew by nearly 4 percent in 2012. A worsening euro zone crisis and the prospect of a recession could reverse the current wealth inflows from risk-averse Europeans into the United Kingdom.

Switzerland is the fifth country that has 3, 95,000 millionaire households. Switzerland’s rich grew more than 7 percent last year, inspite of Europe as a whole witnessed reduction in its ultra-wealthy population. The combined wealth of the ultra rich has increased over 3 percent year by year, even with the global economic slowdown.

Meanwhile, Switzerland’s favorable tax and privacy laws are the two aspects that have attracted many ultra rich people in this country.
