Suresh Kalmadi
Suresh Kalmadi, the former Commonwealth Games (CWG) Organising Committee chief, recently charged for the 2010 CWG scandal graduated from the Fergusson College in Pune. He joined the National Defence Academy, Kharakvasla in 1960. He is also a graduate from Air Force Flying College Jodhpur and Allahabad. From 1964 to 1972 Kalmadi served the Indian Air force.
Maneka Gandhi
Maneka Gandhi is the Indian politician, most popular as the animal rights activist and environmentalist. She is the widow of Sanjay Gandhi and a member of the Nehru-Gandhi political clan. Apart from holding an I.S.C. degree Maneka has also studied German at the Jawaharlal Nehru University. Her interest in animals led to the formation of the ‘People for Animals’ organization in 1992. Menaka has also anchored a television show named ‘Heads and Tail’ highlighting the suffrage faced by animals through urban exploitation and has also authored a book under the same title.
