Google Shows How It Handles Government Requests For Your Data


Bangalore: Google, on the occasion of Data Privacy Day, which was observed yesterday, came out with answers to the FAQs which were posted on its Google Transparency Report, about how it handles government requests for user data, reports CNet.    

Google has added a new section to its Transparency Report, where users can get answers for their queries, for example “What is a content removal request?” , and Google answered— Governments make content removal requests to remove information from Google products, such as blog posts or YouTube videos.

Google collects a vast amount of data about the individuals online to determine who the person is, where they are located and what they like, to deliver better results and services, on the other hand it also compromises user’s anonymity. Google says that governments are increasingly relying on Google for the information on user data.
