Flipkart Saga: Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal Takes Million Dollar Paychecks


The Bhansals are said to have invested some of their shares in past 18 months, and together with senior management, they reportedly control about 25 percent of Flipkart, pegging their net worth at around $375 million (about Rs 2,250 crore).

Flipkart has reported a gross merchandise sale of about $600 million (over Rs 3,680 crore) annually. The Bangalore based company wants to take its annual gross sales to $1 billion (over Rs 6,100 crore) in the next 12 months before starting work on an overseas listing. According to market research firm Forrester, India's e-commerce market is expected to touch $8.8 billion (over Rs 54,000 crore) in 2016. With India posing huge opportunities in e-commerce, and Flipkart sketching its success story, the co-founders are to walkway with even fatter pay checks.
