Finally Google Acknowledges It Is Behind Mystery Barges

Google has been building on barges in the San Francisco Bay and in Maine's Casco Bay. These stand about four stories high and were made with a series of modern cargo containers which can be reconfigurable, movable and also capable of being taken apart and reassembled as needed, according to CBS' San Francisco affiliate KPIX. It also reported that the project has been "personally directed" by Google co-founder Sergey Brin.

However Google did not specify in its statement that it is referring to both the barges and not just one. Last year Google proposed building a land-based "Google Experience Center" which would operate as a private museum and demo space as part of new $120 billion Googleplex headquarters in Mountain View, California, where the headquarter of the company is located.
