Dharun Ravi

Ravi, a former Rutgers University student was convicted in the month of March for spying on his roommate Tyler Clementi, with a webcam, who was with another man. Tyler later committed suicide following the incident. Ravi is now facing up to ten years in prison and deportation to India.

"I was 18 ... I did do things wrong and I was stupid about a lot of stuff," he told ABC News. "I was a dumb kid not thinking about it."

The charges on him include bias, intimidation, invasion of privacy and evidence tampering and the date of sentencing is scheduled on 21 May. Recently, his lawyers have asked for probation instead of jail term.
