Court Cases in India That Enraged the Whole Country

INA Trials

The aim of creating the Indian National Army was to give the gift of independence to India with Japanese aid, in 1942. The force was formed and led by Subhash Chandra Bose, who managed to shake the English Rule. However, the protest brought out by the INA could not make a deep impact and the British government made serious efforts to abandon this force. Several arms and ammunitions of the INA were seized by the British blaming the INA of disobedience, revolt and sedition.

The ten INA trials, known as Red Fort Trials, were held from November 1945 to May 1946 and are considered among the ‘rarest of rare cases’. The trials raised arguments on Military Law, Constitutional Law, International Law, and Politics. Though they were charged on conspiracy, the British India saw these brave men as National heroes.
