While returning from a road trip, Christopher acknowledged that there was a lot of homemade iced tea served on the road, no where Bottled tea was available, it is then he decided to make bottled tea as his grandmother “Mimi” used to make. . Available in 16 oz recyclable aluminum cans, the initial startup cost around $3,000 for a used van, $3,000 that was used for manufacturing equipment, and $1,000 for a computer and printer. The company’s revenue hit the market worth $12 million in 2008.
