AmEx To Fund Bangalore Based Startup 'Capillary'

Luke Gebb, senior VP of merchant services of American Express said, "Many retailers are looking for ways to help them strengthen engagement and loyalty with their customers. We are pleased to add Capillary to the range of services we offer merchants.” Reddy returned the compliment mentioning the pilot program launched in Singapore in which AmEx introduced Capillary's cloud-based platform to select mid-sized retail merchants. He said, "That proved a success. AmEx has presence in over 50 countries and they own the relations with their merchants (unlike Visa and Mastercard who work through banks). So we get access to a huge merchant base.”

The best part is that the enterprise need not make a huge initial expenditure. As its cloud based software, it comes under Software-as-a-service category (SaaS) which can be used as a service with a monthly subscription fees.
