# Circular Saw: Tabitha Babbitt invented the first circular saw in the year 1813. Babbitt was an American tool maker who worked on the idea of the circular saw after she spotted two laborers trying to cut wood with a long tool which looked very exhausting for her. On having realized a round tool would be a better alternative, Babbitt invented the first circular saw used in the saw mills, which was connected to a water powered motor to reduce the effort when cutting wood.

Anna Connelly invented the Fire escape with the exterior staircases and patented it in the year 1887. In spite of other ideas prior to this, Anna Connelly’s idea remained as the best one and stands as a basis for the modern fire escape.

# Windshield Wipers: Mary Anderson, an American real estate developer has made our rainy day drives fun and comfy with a clear vision of the roads. Calling it the ‘window cleaning device’, Anderson patented the Windshield wiper in the year 1903, where she first invented a swaying arm device with a rubber band which could be activated from a lever inside the car. Her version of the wipers can be found on the most of the old cars.
