After Silicon Valley And Bangalore, Indian Startups Head To Africa

It created an amazing platform for Indian and African entrepreneurs to meet and exchange ideas and also to explore business opportunities.

Interestingly, it is just not the entrepreneur clan that is moving out to Africa but a whole lot of Indian investors including angel network like Mumbai Angels are having over two portfolios in this continent. "We are being approached by startups, particularly in technology and healthcare, who want to expand into Africa. Two of our portfolio companies are already present in Africa-,"said Anil Joshi, president of Mumbai Angels.

Many countries are now attracting the Indian startup crowd and places like South Africa, Ghana, Angola and Kenya are on everybody’s radar as they have all necessary resources and the market opportunities in these countries are much higher than some of the developing or developed countries.
