Zebra Tech focuses at Tier-II, III cities

Kochi: Zebra Technologies, a provider of specialty printing and automatic identification solutions, is turning towards tier II and tier III cities to expand its market. Shailesh Deshmukh, Country Head, Zebra Technologies, said that the company targets sectors across verticals, which include retail, pharma, healthcare, manufacturing, airlines, entertainment and others. Recently, Zebra has launched the HC 100 printer in the healthcare sector and G-series printer which is applicable to verticals such as manufacturing, retail, airlines and logistics. "Overall market of printing solutions including printers in the country has been growing at a pace of 35-40 percent for the last 3-4 years. Within a short span of time, the overall automatic identification and data capturing industry market has reached Rs 200 crore and it is expected to grow at a robust pace," said Deshmukh. He said that cities like Cochin are developing very fast and the company sees a huge market for its offering with business in sectors such as textile retailing, seafood and spices exports, IT, tourism, health services, banking and shipbuilding.
