Wrong Moves of Yahoo's Ex - CEO

Bangalore: Carol Bartz, role as a CEO ended abruptly when she was fired from the position which she had held for less than three years. She was vehemently criticized for the role she displayed since she failed to revitalize the online media company.
Here are few management mistakes that made her to step down from Yahoo.
1.Blaming Yahoo Sales Team
She blamed the Yahoo sales team for disappointing revenue numbers. She attributed the poor performance of advertising sales department, saying that Yahoo's sales platform technology is outdated, and failed to realize the importance.
Wendi Sturgis, Yahoo's VP of North American account management is responsible for search, display, mobile and video account management for Yahoo.
Managing "big clients" is Sturgis's main job which she failed to perform as there was lack of sales people in the company, Yahoo had even disappointed Wall Street with its second quarter earnings as display advertising sales came below expectations.
