Wipro opens development center in Canada

BANGALORE: Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT), today announced the opening of a Development Center at Windsor, Canada, further enhancing its global delivery capabilities.
The development center in Windsor provides Wipros clients in North America a near-shore destination for their mission-critical projects and imports Wipros globally recognized quality processes into Canada. The center will offer the complete range of Wipros services from product design and realization services to outsourcing of business solutions, and IT Infrastructure services.
The Windsor development center augments Wipros network of development centers spreading across four cities in India, two cities in the US, and one each in the UK, Germany & Japan. A globally distributed development center network complements Wipros disaster recovery and business continuity plans by de-risking Wipros clients from natural and man-made geography risks further improving Wipros position as a reliable outsourcing partner.
The development center at Windsor enhances our ability to service clients by addressing their need for closer architecture support and cost effectiveness of a global delivery mechanism said Vivek Paul, Vice Chairman, Wipro Limited and CEO, Wipro Technologies. This is also part of our organizational objective of being the most reliable partner to clients by reducing any geography-specific risks he added.
This is the second development center that Wipro Technologies has opened in the last three months. In June this year, Wipro had opened their design center in Kiel, Germany.
