Coimbatore: With an eye to tap the rural market by facilitating banking services to the unbanked, Mumbai-based Venture Infotek, a transaction processing and knowledge management company is looking to offer its 'Venture Grama' solutions to the rural customers. The company has already bagged two orders for a pilot project for the MannDeshi Mahila Sahakari Bank at Mhaswad in Maharashtra and Bank of Rajasthan. Besides facilitating basic banking services in rural pockets, Venture Infotek would also help take Government-sponsored schemes forward with disbursement of subsidies to the bank's rural customers. "Venture Grama solution would aim to provide a platform for reaching out to the rural populace in an efficient, secure and cost-effective manner," said Piyush Khaitan, Managing Director, Venture Infotek. The solution would be offered through smart card technologies such as biometric E-Cards, with adequate memory for multiple applications and transactions.
