PUNE: Trinity Convergence, Inc., a provider of voice-over-IP (VoIP) software solutions to manufacturers of consumer electronics and telecommunications equipment, has opened a new development center in Pune. Led by U.S. based CEO and VoIP industry pioneer, Ajit Pendse, Trinity Convergence is a global company with corporate offices in the U.S.; development offices in the U.K.; and sales operations worldwide. The company designs, develops and licenses embedded VoIP software solutions that dramatically reduce time-to-market for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) delivering next-generation IP-based communications equipment. Trinity Convergence India Pvt. Ltd. today consists of more than 50 embedded software engineers and other key personnel focused on developing voice and video over IP software solutions. The company announced plans to more than double the size of its staff in Pune by the end of 2006. “Securing design wins with a number of the world’s top consumer electronics brands speaks to the fact that Trinity Convergence is becoming the voice-over-IP platform of choice for the industry’s leading OEMs -- and we’re accelerating our growth strategy to keep up with global demand,” stated Ajit Pendse, President and CEO of Trinity Convergence. “The team in Pune has demonstrated considerable expertise and will be instrumental in enhancing our ability to successfully deliver innovative software solutions to our customers.” Trinity Convergence India has been operating quietly since its formation in December of 2005, working closely with existing Trinity Convergence engineering and customer support teams based in Cambridge, England. During this time, the respective locations have integrated operations, implemented cross-training and further defined roles and responsibilities. Going forward, customer support will remain in Cambridge and product engineering will be conducted in both locations. Mohan Tilak, general manager of Trinity Convergence India, commented on next steps for the company, stating, “The dynamic nature of the VoIP market offers exciting prospects for the coming years. We are moving into a new, world-class facility in Pune this month, with the expectation of doubling our size by the end of 2006. It is with much anticipation that we look forward to welcoming some of India’s best and brightest software developers into our organization.”
