MUMBAI:Non-voice business process outsourcing company Tricom India Ltd will invest 20 crore (Rs 200 million) to expand and set up a 600-seat facility in Mumbai and 1,500-2,000 seat facility in Pune. This will result in hiking the company's total headcount to around 3,000, Tricom India said. The Mumbai facility, to be set up in a 22,000 square feet area, is expected to be operational in two months, while the Pune facility would start functioning in the next 18 months, it said. However, the company is yet to acquire a property in Pune, it said. Tricom India will evaluate various options to finance the expansion plan, it said, adding it would be through a mix of internal accruals and borrowings. This expansion will help the company to cater to large orders in the business, which is growing at over 100 per cent per annum. The company, which had earlier set up a wholly owned US subsidiary, Tricom Document Management Inc, is also planning offices in New Jersey and Chicago in this quarter, it said.
