BANGALORE: Telelogic (Stockholm Exchange: TLOG), the leading global provider of solutions for advanced systems and software development, today announced the setup of its product development lab in Bangalore, India. This is Telelogic's 4th Product Development Lab, the others being in US, UK and Sweden. The Bangalore Lab will initially focus on performing test and quality assurance of Telelogic's integrated product offering. The Bangalore lab will start off with 20-50 engineers and would ramp up on a need basis over time. "Telelogic's operation in India is now the fourth largest in the Telelogic group," said Anders Lidbeck, President & CEO of Telelogic. "We have previously built up a local sales and support organization but also a global support and a global telemarketing operation in India with great success. India has developed into one of the major countries in high tech, with many skilled IT professionals. We now feel that we have the experience and infrastructure in place to take this one step further by setting up a product development lab in Bangalore, complementing our development labs in Europe and the US. This will over time significantly increase our development capacity and help us deliver even better products faster to market", Lidbeck concludes. Sreehari Narasipur has been appointed as the Vice President of Development for the Bangalore Development Lab. Sreehari joins Telelogic from an impressive 5 plus years history with Oracle India where he held various management positions and managed multiple project teams in Enterprise Internet Tools and Oracle Portal divisions in the Oracle India Development Center in Bangalore. Sreehari has more than 21 years experience from software development in high quality organizations which include both strong process orientation and practical hands-on experience from development of advanced products for a demanding market. Prior to his tenure at Oracle, Sreehari had a distinguished history of working with Xerox Corporation and other companies, both in the US and in India. Sreehari holds a Master of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras, India. Telelogic has been present in the Indian market since April 2001. It has grown from an employee strength of 3 people to a full-fledged operation with around 80 people. The operations in India currently include sales, professional services and a global support center which provides technical support 24X5 to all Telelogic customers worldwide. "The Product Development Lab in India will further Telelogic's commitment to the Indian market" said Sidharth Malik, Managing Director of Telelogic India. "The product development lab in India will help Telelogic in furthering its Automated Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategy by supporting the market needs of requirements-driven development and test, together with integrated change and defect management" said Ingemar Ljungdahl, CTO of Telelogic.
