Bangalore: It is true that there will be a 10 percent increase in tech hiring in the year 2011. Majority of the IT majors in India has already announced their plans for promotion and hiring. According to a new survey by technology Career Company, Dice, in the first quarter of 2011 Java, SAP, and Security skill sets will have a high demand. Even developers with diverse skill sets are also projected to be in high demand. Java, .Net, and mobile are the big winners, as well as project managers, business intelligence specialists and SAP experts, and security analysts who can tackle the most recent threats from new platforms such as social media and embedded devices. In 2010, security, network administration, and Windows administration were some of the highly demanded skill sets. From 2008 .Net remained as one of the most demanded tech skills. Since, companies push more applications to the Web; Microsoft's .NET is becoming a critical platform and development skill. The continuing growth of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) projects keeps SAP experts in demand. Mobile technologies have brought a drastic change in the IT scenario.
