Tata Teleservices launches operations in Jammu and Kashmir

New Delhi: Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTSL), one of the leading CDMA service providers in the country, Wednesday launched its operations in Jammu and Kashmir with an initial investment of 1 billion. The company has introduced a number of offers under its flagship brand Tata Indicom for both pre-paid and post-paid users as well as fixed wireless telephony (walky talky) services, a company statement said. It has also offered a host of value-added services for consumers. With the launch, the company will provide coverage in 29 towns in the state and expand its presence to 36 more towns shortly, the statement added. "With unmatched coverage and voice clarity, Tata Indicom will provide its customers a unique experience of the latest technology at affordable prices. We are confident that this launch will redefine the way people communicate in the region," TTSL managing director Anil Sardana said. Tata Indicom also unveiled 'Go Active' pack for 199, with an introductory tariff of 50 paise for all local calls and Re.1 for long distance calls.
