UK & BANGLORE: Symon Communications, Ltd., a global provider of contact centre and enterprise performance and productivity tools, announced a partnership agreement today with Tata Telecom, India's converged communications solutions provider for enterprises. Tata Telecom will market and support Symon products including two major enterprise tools, NetLite II wireless displays and Symon Vista real-time productivity software solution, and has successfully introduced and expanded Symon's presence in the Indian market. "We are very excited about our alliance with Tata Telecom," said Nelson Smelker, managing director, Symon Communications, Ltd. "Tata Telecom is well positioned in the growing Indian market. Symon delivers products that help performance in all areas of the enterprise, and our solutions will benefit Tata Telecom customers with leading Web and networking technologies." Gartner Dataquest analysts have identified India as the fastest growing market for business process outsourcing (BPO), stating in a recent report, "India's revenue from BPO will grow from slightly under $1 billion in 2002 to $13.8 billion in 2007, making its share of supply, 57 percent of the offshore BPO market." With more than 65 percent share of the market share, Tata Telecom is the leader in India's contact center market and offers a number of contact center solutions, helping its clients connect better with customers and respond to their needs, thus increasing sales opportunities. "The Indian outsourcing market is maturing rapidly and needs to introduce more and more value added services to better serve global customers, said Ajit K. Thatte, vice president, Marketing and Strategic Alliances, Tata Telecom. "Seeing this emerging trend, we believe adding Symon products will definitely be an added benefit for Indian BPO organizations as well as further boost our end-to-end product portfolio. We have found Symon solutions not only help address basic display needs, but also help create a new real-time alerting and messaging category." Tata Telecom has placed Symon products and services with major companies such as IBM, Oracle, J.P. Morgan, Accenture and Citibank. The technology driving Symon products is the Symon Enterprise Server (SES), a powerful consolidated real-time infrastructure solution for collecting, managing and distributing mission-critical information throughout an organization. According to the press release, SES pinpoints key performance indicators in the vast number of statistics that contact center and other business systems generate. These key metrics are then used as meaningful actionable data for everyone from agents to executives, helping them make real-time decisions that drive productivity and performance. "The Tata Telecom and Symon alliance is a unique opportunity to develop this new category in the market, real time alerting and messaging, and carve a reasonable market share," said Thatte. "We believe this partnership will be very beneficial in helping us fulfill the emerging needs of our clients."
