Given his wide experience in technology and process optimization and his excellent track record as a leader, Kurien has the right combination of experience and energy to sustain and leverage our position of leadership in BPO to broaden our offerings and further realize the emerging opportunities in this space. We would also like to acknowledge the significant contribution of Raman Roy in building this business. We wish him well in his future endeavors,” said Vivek Paul, Vice Chairman of Wipro. When contacted Roy declined to divulge his future plans saying, “I am not retiring. In the next 2-3 weeks, I will finalize my plans. It could be participating on a existing small company or looking at new things.” Roy had founded Spectramind eServices, which was acquired by Wipro in 2002. earlier this year, Wipro renamed Wipro Spectramind BPO operations as Wipro BPO Solutions Ltd.
