TIBCO names Mehta President Asia-Pac

PALO ALTO: TIBCO Software Inc., (Nasdaq: TIBX) announced Wednesday that it has appointed Shamik Mehta as president of Asia Pacific operations. The company also announced the appointment of Bradley Rode as executive vice president, products and technology. "Both Brad and Shamik have the experience and expertise to help us continue to drive technology innovation and operational excellence." As president of TIBCO's Asia Pacific operations, Mehta will oversee all of TIBCO's sales, marketing, and business development in the region. Mehta has over 25 years of experience in the high technology software industry. Prior to joining TIBCO, Mehta served as senior vice president, global sales and marketing at TFTI, a Reuters company. Prior to his role at Reuters, Mehta was vice president of Asia Pacific operations at Teknekron Software Systems. Mehta also spent 13 years at Hewlett-Packard. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA degree from Miami University in Marketing and Quantitative Analysis. As executive vice president of products and technology, Rode will oversee the product marketing, engineering and delivery of TIBCO's leading business integration and business optimization technology, as well as chart the overall product and technology strategy for the company. Rode brings 22 years of experience in the technology industry to TIBCO. Prior to joining TIBCO, Rode was president and CEO of iPIN, a provider of electronic and mobile payment technologies, and was also president and CEO of Internet Profiles (I/PRO). Previously, Rode was senior vice president and a founding team member of Teknekron Software Systems. In addition, he has held positions at AT&T Bell Labs and TELUS Corporation. Rode holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Alberta, Canada.
