New Delhi: TCL India Holdings, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chinese television manufacturing major TCL group, will set up its greenfield unit in Noida by 2010. It also plans to extend its product line to small home-appliances. "We plan to set up our greenfield manufacturing unit by 2009-10, somewhere in Noida," said Sudhanshu Bhandari, Assistant Marketing Manager, TCL India Holdings. The company plans to initially manufacture color televisions, and later extends the range to air-conditioners and washing machines, reported Business Line. It plans to expand its portfolio to smaller home appliances. "We have been in the Indian market for two years now and feel that it is the right time to expand our presence in the country through our product offerings," said Bhandari. The company is all set to launch small appliances such as mixers, juicers, grinders and rice cookers by January 2008.
