The acquisition of Angstro by Google was a part of the company’s strategy to create a social networking service to counter the aggressive growth of Facebook. Co-founded by Salim Ismail and Rohit Khare, Angstro delivers critical business news about people and companies across professional networks. As part of the deal, Rohit joined Google. When Google acquired the company, it was still in its stealth mode.
