Campfire has recently secured seed round of funding and was in its stealth mode. Co-founded by Naveen Koorakula and Sakina Arsiwala, the company aimed to change the way people collaborate online. After acquisition, the whole team joined Groupon. While Naveen said, “Groupon has been the most effective driver of offline experiences and there is a lot of synergy in our vision for a world filled with more social experience”, Julie Mossler, Spokesperson, Groupon, said, “Campfire Labs was recently acquired to lead the social arm of Groupon. They are great product technologists who have developed really cool stuff and technology.”
