Spice ties up with rediff.com

NEW DELHI: Spice mobile phone users in Punjab can now access their rediff mail accounts on their handsets as Spice Telecom, Punjab's leading cellular service provider today tied up with rediff.com. The tie up enables Spice customers to send and receive e-mails from their rediff mail accounts using their Spice mobiles. The contents of the mailbox and mail messages will be displayed as SMS messages on individual handsets. While each message will be restricted to 160 characters only, longer mails can be viewed by sending multiple requests. Rohit Malhothra, vice president - sales & marketing, Spice Telecom Ltd, said, "Tie up such as this one with rediff.com allow us to leapfrog with our leading-edge technology and offer unique value- added service to our customers. Spice Punjab is a 51:49 joint venture between Spicecorp (India) and DISTACOM (Hong Kong).
