HYDERABAD: Sitel India, a joint venture between Sitel Corp and the Tata group today announced the opening of its third site in Hyderabad with an initial 1000 plus employees to serve its growing business needs. The Hyderabad operations will focus in Telecom/ISP and BFSI Verticals that services the U.S. based customer. Currently Sitel operates from two sites in Mumbai employing about 2000 people. “We are launching our operations in Hyderabad with an initial target of 1,000 plus employees, with the potential to expand further in a year or two. Hyderabad was chosen to be Sitel India’s next destination mainly because of its huge pool of skilled graduate talent, the proactive support of the state government to the IT Sector and low cost of living for its employees. We mark the beginning of the Year 2006 by going live on our new site in Hyderabad” Safir Adeni, CEO, Sitel India, said.
