Silver Futures Up Over 1 Percent on Overseas Trend

New Delhi: Taking positive cues from global market, silver moved up by 1.23 percent to 56,260 per kg in futures trading.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March rose by 712, or 1.28 percent, to 56,260 per kg, with a business turnover of 5,401 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in May traded higher by 497, or 1.23 per cent, to 57,363 per kg, with a trade volume of 196 lots.

Analysts said the rise in silver futures prices was mostly supported by a firming trend in the precious metals overseas.
In the Asian region, silver prices rose by 0.84 per cent to 32.47 dollars an ounce in Singapore in early trade.
