Siemens set to increase investment in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Siemens Information Systems is set to expand in Kerala and has asked for details of investment opportunities and partnerships in the state. Senior officials of the German company will arrive in Thiruvananthapuram later this month and be briefed on the various opportunities available in the state, Kerala IT Mission director Roy Mathew said. "We will brief them about the various options that the company can look forward in Kerala," Mathew said. Preliminary discussions were conducted at the recently concluded Bangalore IT.Com between Kerala Industries Minister PK Kunjalikutty and Siemens officials led by general manager BK Kulkarni. The company has been associated with the establishment of the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences at Kochi, which is said to be India's first digital hospital. Siemens has also submitted a project report on the Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences to the Kerala government.
