Satyam to strengthen enterprise team numbers

HYDERABAD: Re-iterating its committment to the Indian market, Satyam Computer Services is planning to strengthen its enterprise application operations in Mumbai and Delhi. With over 4,000 resources in its consulting and enterprise application practice, Satyam has built a strong competency in the area. The company has bagged a contract from Khanna Paper to provide Oracle application support in helping the latter address the bottlenecks at the operational and strategic levels, according to a Satyam press release. Satyam’s senior vice president for the Asia-Pacific region, Mr Virender Aggarwal said this contract allows Satyam to establish its presence in the paper industry. “To reiterate our committment to the Indian markets, we are planning to strengthen our operations in Mumbai and Delhi,” he added. According to a Satyam press release, the company will provide implementation support using Oracle financials, business intelligence, HR, advanced constrained-based planning, and operatons process management applications. In addition, the company will build a few applications for Deckle planning system and logistics. Khanna Paper is first manufacturer of recycle-based quality writing and printing paper in India. The company, with an installed capcity of 300 MT per day, will be entering the copier paper market next year, the release added.
