Satyam partners United Devices for grid computing

CHENNAI: Satyam has partnered with US-based United Devices to strengthen its grid-computing offering, which allows enterprises to maximize the utilization of computational resources without additional investments. Satyam is a global partner of United Devices and the scope of the alliance extends to solution implementation, technical services, training and professional services. ''United Devices' proven competence and demonstrated expertise in Grid Computing made it a logical choice for us to forge a global alliance with them. This partnership combined with our pioneering efforts in Grid Computing is a preemptive step to establishing leadership in this field,'' Satyam Director (Consulting and Enterprise Solutions) G B Prabhat said in a statement here. Satyam recently announced the launch of its Grid Computing Practice. As a part of the organization’s Consulting and Enterprise Solutions unit, this practice will offer customers consulting, design and implementation, conversion and maintenance in Grid Computing.
