Satyam enables world's first eSCMSM certification

HYDERABAD: Satyam Computer Services Tuesday announced it had successfully enabled a unit of Korean conglomerate LG to be certified at eSourcing Capability Model (eSCMSM) capability level 3. LG*Net, a unit of LG CNS, which provides connectivity to its customers worldwide, has been certified under the model. According to a statement by Satyam, LG CNS is a leader in the Korean IT service market and has played a major role in the Korean Government's e-Korea initiatives. The announcement follows the certification awarded by Carnegie Mellon University to LG CNS on Nov 7. Satyam had supported Carnegie Mellon University in developing the eSCMSM. Others who collaborated in the venture were Accenture, IBM Global Services, EDS and the Indian-government's STQC. eSCMSM provides guidance to IT-enabled sourcing (ITES) service providers improve their capability to deliver high-quality services consistently.
