Samsung rolls out dual SIM card slider

Samsung Electronics has come up with its new dual SIM card mobile phone. Samsung D880. Featuring a shining front surface and measuring at 18.9mm thick, Samsung D880 provides access to e-dictionary, easy phonebook search and multi tasking features as well as USB v2.0 and Bluetooth 2.0 for full speed connectivity. Samsung D880 features 2.3-inch LCD screen, MP3 player and a 3 megapixel primary camera.
The mobile phone applies GPRS/EDGE connectivity to provide the user with strong multimedia capabilities. Samsung D880 has a dedicated music interface that supports multi format music files to make listening easier. Another intrinsic feature about D880 is the large battery, which uses 1200mA that is significantly more than other batteries, the company said.
"Samsung D880 automatically switches between SIM cards according to the consumer's needs and network access. The phone enables the user to use two active lines separately, which eliminates the need to carry one phone per active SIM card. With the new D880, the user can enjoy a hassle-free mobile experience along with the functionality of two mobiles in one sleek unit," said Steve Han, General Manager, hand-held phones Division, Samsung Gulf Electronics.
