Samsung, Verizon launch 'Reality'

Bangalore: Samsung and Verizon Wireless have announced the Reality, a feature phone with a 3-inch, 240-by-400-pixel touch screen, and a horizontal slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The phone is sleek and trendy, to be made available in two colors, Piano Black and City Red. Users can send across messages in the form of texts, pictures, videos or voice messages. Also, it has Mobile IM, Mobile Chat, Mobile Email and Mobile Web Email. With the 3.2 MP camera, users can click pictures or shoot videos in the dark with ease via the night shot mode. The phone also gives users options to shoot in single, multiple, panorama, mosaic and frame shot modes. Samsung Reality possesses interesting photo editing features, Bluetooth technology for headset, hands-free and Dial-Up Networking, phonebook access, basic print, imaging, object push for vCard and vCalendar etc. It allows access to social networking services. With the VZ Navigator, users can receive voice-enabled directions to more than 15 million interesting points and share them with others. There is also the Visual Voice Mail that makes deleting, replying or forwarding voice messages without having to listen to them over and over again. With the media centre, users can conveniently download games, wallpapers and other graphics for their phone. Other functions include a personal organizer with tools such as calendar, calculator, currency converter, notepad, alarm clock, world clock and stop watch. The phone will be made available at Verizon Wireless Communications Stores as well as online at verizonwireless.com. Samsung Reality comes with a price tag of $79.99 following a $50 mail-in rebate in the form of a debit card, upon receipt.
