Royal Air to buy 10 737-800 from Boeing

MUMBAI: IndiaÂ’s newest discount airlines SpiceJet, started by Royal Airways Ltd. will buy 10 737-800 aircrafts from Boeing, the worldÂ’s top civilian aircraft maker for $630 million, the company said in a statement. SpiceJet, the first airlines to begin operations this year after the civil aviation authorities permitted four new companies has an option to buy further 10 new aircrafts, the statement said. SpiceJet is scheduled to commence operations in two months and will cover all major cities.
