Fremont: Movies offer a lot of ideas, not just to the viewers but also companies. Generally before launching a new movie, the producers do extensive promotion and tie up with various brands to offer limited edition memorabilia of the notable products from the movie or the television shows. Here are few of the real products which have been inspired by fictional shows and movies.

Nike Mag

nike mag, mag, back to the futureThe movie “Back to the Future II” saw the lead protagonist wearing a shoe which could tie the laces itself. This inspired Nike to invent the Nike Mag, a high top shoe with LED lights that last for five hours before requiring to be recharged. The lights had to be turned on by piching the high-top’s ear. Though Nike had filed a patent for the automatic lacing system in 2009, the Mag lacked the power laces. About 1,500 shoes were available for approximately $4,000 for auction on eBay, the proceeds of which were donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
