Railways to build museum in memory of 26/11 attack victims
Mumbai: Indian Railways will set up a museum soon in memory of all those who were killed in the terror attack in Mumbai on November 26 last year. "A museum will be set up in soon in memory of all those who died during the November 26 attack last year. The museum will have pictures of all the people, including police personnel, railway officials and common people, who were killed," Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee. "Besides pictures, the museum will have a few details of all the victims. This would ensure that everyone will come to know about all those who became victims of terror," added Banerjee. Railway Minister also announced the compensation of 2 lakh for a motorman T Ramachandran who died when a pipeline collapsed on a local train in neighbouring Thane last month. On her maiden visit to Mumbai after taking charge as Railway Minister, Banerjee flagged off the first 15-car suburban services on Western Railway, Mumbai-Nagpur Duranto tri-weekly Express, two new ladies special suburban services, Bandra (T)-Jodhpur Weekly Express and Mumbai-Karwar tri-weekly express.
