BANGALORE: Leading US telecom major Qualcomm, world leader of code division multiple access digital wireless technology, on Friday announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Spike Technologies for $19m in an all-cash deal. Spike Technologies is a California-based semiconductor design services company with a design centre in Bangalore. ET had first reported the deal on July 6 when Qualcomm had completed the due diligence. Spike Technologies will be integrated into Qualcomm CDMA Technologies and help the US telecom major to address the increasing demand for faster time to market.
