Bangalore: As Lok Sabha election is round the corner, political parties in Karnataka are embracing new technologies to reach the voters. The latest technology now being used is pre-recorded personalized calls and messages, an innovation that the companies like Bangalore-based TringMe are betting on, reported mint. "This is a voice-based platform that allows people to create voice-based applications. It's been used now for campaigning purposes. It's a simple and effective way to get your message across," said Yusuf Motiwala, Founder and CEO of TringMe. Apart from that, politicians can opt for custom-made suggestions that can be routed to the local MLA, and internet-savvy politicians can also use chat engines such as Yahoo Talk and Google Talk to get their message across. Services of TringMe technology are available in various Indian languages such as Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. "The technology is being used so far largely in south India, but some politicians in north India are planning on using this as well," added Motiwala. Motiwala also said that the company is well prepared and has the capacity to handle up to 10,000 calls per minute to begin with and can scale up further if needed.
