Poaching best talents increases attrition at top level
Bangalore: If you look at the current IT industry the biggies have started their war to get the best talents in the top management level. The attrition in the top level management is increasing at a fast pace. Twitter has already moved a step ahead to hire Sundar Pichai, the man in charge of Chrome and Chrome OS at Google as its next Head of Product. Microsoft Server and Tools Business President Bob Muglia is planning to leave Microsoft in this summer. Few months back Microsoft's Chief Software Architect, and fellow cloud visionary, Ray Ozzie announced his resignation in October. After the recession majority of the IT companies were finding it difficult to retain employees. But the issue has spread to the managerial level too. Google is already trying its best to retain Sundar Pichai. Microsoft has started its hunt for new Server and Tools Business President that may soon poach a best talent from the other tech honchos. Sudden resignation of AMD CEO, President and Director Dirk Meyer also has also another hint. Currently AMD is looking for a best talent who will oversee significant growth, establish market leadership and generate superior financial returns rather than just see AMD stabilized. It has become a challenge for many tech honchos to retain their best talents in today's highly competitive business environment. Re-hiring can be a very costly affair therefore it is always preferable to keep an eye in retaining the best.
