Pentamedia's total sales drop by 37% in Q1

CHENNAI: Pentamedia Graphics Ltd has reported a 37 per cent decline in its consolidated total sales for the quarter ended June 30, 2004 at Rs 38.17 crore, compared to Rs 61.10 crore in the same period last year. The company, however, showed a 17 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit for the quarter at Rs 3.02 crore, up from previous year's Rs 2.58 crore, a company statement here said. The consolidated figures include the performance of its various divisions including Media Dreams, Intelevision and Num TV. The consolidated total income dropped by 35.56 per cent in the quarter at Rs 39.67 crore, compared to previous year's Rs 61.57 crore, it said. The gross profit fell to Rs 6.04 crore in the three months period of April-June 2004 from Rs 16.97 crore in the corresponding period last year
