Patni bags five year contract with 2e2
Mumbai: Patni Computer Systems bagged a five-year contract with UK IT services provider 2e2.The contract will provide support services for 2e2's end-user clients and the delivery of in-house support services. The estimated contract value is in the region of roughly 20 Million. 2e2 is IT service providers in Europe and has operations across the UK and Isle of Man, Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, and the Channel Islands. 2e2 works with companies within the telecommunications, media, healthcare, retail, transport, public, financial services and professional services sectors. Manging Director at 2e2,Neil Allpress,said: "In common with all IT and Infrastructure services companies, we have to look at the best ways to provide value to our clients. Working in partnership with Patni brings us flexibility and extra skills and services that we can leverage for our existing and new clients. We chose Patni because of its clear commitment to our partnership and because of its proven technical expertise. This will allow us to offer a choice of delivery models, to introduce new services far more quickly and to scale our delivery rapidly to meet the requirements of our Cloud-services customers." Patni is to provide initial services under this new contract before the end of the year. This deal is expected to be strategic in nature for both companies with complementary service offerings in the European market.
